Websites

Creating a website is where we are most collaborative and where our design and development teams come together.

Live Arts website

Live Arts

Live Arts is one our community partners, and we have been wanting to redesign their website for years. We finally got our chance, and we are super excited by the results. We worked closely with their leadership and creative team to produce a website that is friendly, energetic, and fun. We created a custom WordPress theme, integrated events using the AddEvent API, and created custom code to manage seasons, productions, cast, and crew. The site has been optimized for accessibility and performance.

Synchronicity Foundation

We updated the brand for Synchronicity Foundation and created a custom Shopify theme. The brand update included creating a new logo, brand guide, new product designs, and a Buddha illustration based on the very first logo for the organization. Development for the website included integration with InfusionSoft API, creating custom audio players for streaming meditation soundtracks, and integrating a custom Radio.co player.

UVA's School of Education and Human Development Annual Report Website

We created a web based annual report for UVA's School of Education and Human Development. We decided to create a design that follows the traditional structure of a printed annual report and integrate a Table of Contents menu using the standard hamburger menu. We created a custom Drupal theme that allows all of the content to be managed from the backend, and also allows reports from the past and future to be created.

CFA Institute Investment Professional of the Future

We created a website for CFA Institute based on the design that we originally created for their print report. The site uses SVG animations and other motion effects to add some fun elements to the site. We were able to create a unique user experience while maintaining accessibility and staying within their brand style.

Monticello Digital Classroom

The Monticello Digital Classroom website gives educators easy access to Thomas Jefferson Foundation resources for use in their classrooms. The primary goals for the site include a simple, intuitive interface that allows teachers to find teaching resources quickly, an organized and consistent display of resources in formats appropriate for both download and online viewing, and a clean, modern interface that works well on both desktop and mobile devices. The site offers a fast and efficient web experience that loads pages and displays search results quickly. We created this website in 2017, just in time for the rise of online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Stinson Vineyards

We have enjoyed creating a number of wine labels for Stinson Vineyards over the years. When they asked us to design and develop their website, we couldn't wait! The website makes use of white space and allows the photos of their vineyard and wines to receive the primary focus. We created a custom WordPress theme that is elegant, accessible, and loads quickly.

Thorpe Moeckel

We had a lot of fun creating the website for the award-winning poet and naturalist, Thorpe Moeckel. Using his poetry and photos of the outdoors as inspiration, we created a simple design that highlights his new book and uses hand-illustrated flowers and a dragonfly in the background.
